Really scared

Hi,

I'm 33 years old and very overweight, the past week or so I have had a few pains at the top of my vagina and in the bottom of my stomach, I also have been getting pain from time to time either side in my pelvis. Along with this I am getting quite bad backache on the middle of my back on the left side. Sometimes also feeling pressure on my bladder but peeing fine.

I'm really scared to go to the doctors because when I look up my symptoms on the net all I ever come across is cancer. As anyone got any advice for me on what this could be ?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Your symptoms could be due to UTI, simple vaginal infection, pelvic inflammatory disease, pudendal nerve entrapment (nerve of the pelvis) or a pinched nerve in the lower lumbar segment of the spine. Yes, cancer too could be a possibility but less likely. Also delaying going to the doctor will delay and prolong treatment. Please consult your gynecologist to start with and get a urine examination done.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Take care!

I haven't had any kind of tests, I'm really frightened of what they may find... Could my symptoms be one of many things ? Because when I research on the web all whatever comes up is ovarian cancer.

Couldn't it be a UTI?  Have you gotten a urine test yet?
