Ride side stitch (ache) whilst drinking beer

Just very recently, on two occasions while drinking beer-I developed side stitching. Eventually, the episodes lead into some burping and flatulence. Quite abit actually.
Either it was coincidental or the beer caused it. This has never happened before. As a side note, both occasions were during a stressful time (funeral).

Anyone experience this?

Okay, this is an area that I am not familiar with but was thinking that the ALT or SGOT gave some indication as to liver function. I'll look into this further.

I think soon I will post to the Gastro forum. Unfortunately, where I live: we don't have specialist's so I am trying to do some "leg work" to provide information to my doctor, given to me by a doctor or those who have an idea as to what I should look at.

Thank you for responding.

I'm not a health expert, just a "civilian" to the medical world.  I don't know whether a CBC includes liver function tests.  Get liver function tested.  You may also want to ask your doctor to have numbers concerning your pancreas tested as well.  I have a friend who had problems while drinking wine, and turned out he had liver and pancreas disorders.

Could also be something to do with your digestive tract, or your gallbladder.

I should think my liver is fine. Reason being, I very recently had a CBC done and with the exception of an elevated white blood count...everything else was reported as being within normal range.
