Hi! A lymphnode below the jaw or submandibular lymphnode can swell due to infections of head, neck, sinuses, ears, eyes, scalp and pharynx or upper throat. So if you have any such infection or even if it is something as simple as dandruff or poor oral hygiene or dental infection, then this could be the cause. Herpes too could be the cause but less likely as there are no sores in the mouth.
Please consult your PCP for primary examination. Take care!
Your lymph nodes assist in pumping blood to the body. They are like sacs. And are located where moving joints are so that they can be constantly squeezed. When they are swollen it is a sign of infection. Rather it be a child our flu or anything really. If there are no other symptoms then your body fought it off naturally before it caused any symptoms. Don't fret our freak out. Its not a big deal. And i wouldn't worry till you got some symptoms
