SOB nausea

my father is 78.  He has fatigue, extreme shortness of breath, and nausea.  He is eating very little.  I started about a month ago but got worse quickly in the last week.  He has a pacemaker and is on mediations for his heart also.  What are some possible causes?
He is seeing a doctor.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The symptoms could be due to a compromise heart condition not under control and causing back pressure on lungs, or due to side effects of his medications or due to a bad gastric reflux.
Your father should be reassessed by his cardiologist to see if heart function is ok, and assess whether medications need a change or dose adjustment. Also ask his doctors and start something like omeprazole to see if it controls acidity and reflux. Get his blood pressure monitored. Take care!

Was he ever a smoker, the fatigue and shortness of breath could be emphazima. and he could just be tired from the strength he has to muster just to breath. He is and older man. Is he on any new meds, sometimes new meds can make you really tired and nausious. Other then that I am not quiet sure what else it could be have you tried calling his Doc and asking them.
