MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It could be that the iud has caused vaginal and uterine infection and this precipitates bleeding after sex.
The various causes for vaginal bleeding after sex are STDs like Chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis, cervical polyps, yeast infections, non specific vaginitis, endometriosis, cervical dysplasia which is a precancerous condition, uterine polyps, uterine fibroids and cervicitis. None of them are conditions that should be ignored. Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please discuss these possibilities with your gynecologist once and get the required tests like internal examination, PAP smear, vaginal swab test for STD, and ultrasound. Take care!

I had the IUD for about 7 years and had to get it replace once within those 7 years.  If sexual intercourse is rough, then there is a possibility that the device might have moved.

I would suggest for you to go see your OBGYN....

Best of luck.
