worried mom

I have a 1 year old...soon to be 2. For the past 2 months or longer she was complaining of her eyes hurting. I never really thought too much of it because I always thought that it was because she was just tired. More recently she had started complaining of pretty much anything and everything was hurting.....eyes, Ears, head, legs, fingers, toes...that and she is so restless when trying to sleep. I took her to our family doctor and they ran a lot of blood work and at first they called and said that her liver enzyme count was up a little which indicated some type of viral infection. A couple days later they called back and said that shehad tested positive for Lyme disease. Well she was put on antibiotics for 3 weeks. We then also went to a pediatric infectious disease doctor for a follow up to see if anything else needed to be done and well....they told us she DID NOT have Lyme and that the test resultts were read incorrectly. It was a relief to hear that she did not have it, But at the same time I am still wondering what is causing all these other symptoms. Has anyone else had these issues with their children or does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing these symptoms in my little girl? The doctor really did not give me any kind of satisfaction as to what could be causing this and did not send me in any other direction. I am one worried mommy and do not know what to do. PLEASE HELP!!

I'm not a doctor but I do have a suggestion based on my own experience.

After problems like that including breathing problems, and years of misdiagnoses since I was a child, I was finally food-allergy tested. It revealed allergies to peanuts, corn, soy, etc.  Of course I had been eating all of those things for most of my life. My peanut allergy symptoms were like that of a flu; extreme weakness, breathing problems, muscle aches and pains, major listlessness, and so forth.  I am also highly sensitive to MSG, which brought about a whole different series of symptoms. If your child hasn't yet been allergy tested, I would wholeheartedly recommend it as part of a work up.

Bunkster your question would be better answered on a pediatric forum.
