Hello.
My husband has been having muscle spasms (mostly on the left side, mostly on his arm) and twitching for about 6 months now. They admitted him to the hospital once and found nothing. They ran MRIs, CAT scans, EKG, and other tests. They ran blood test for the electrolytes and vitamins, blood sugar, thyroid levels, lyme disease, and Huntingtons' disease. They have all come back negative. The doctors have no idea what is causing him to spasm the one minute, and paralyzed in the next. Some days are worse than others.
We are seeing a chiropractor Monday, as I was suspected that maybe he has a pitched nerve somewhere. They did an EMG of his left arm yesterday, and it came back normal. He works extensively with computers and heavy lifting for work.
Is there anything else that I'm missing? Anything else I should do?
His symptoms include (note: these could be unrelated):
Weakness on his left arm
Muscle spasms, especially abdomen
twitching on his left hand
temporary paralysis of his whole body (usually up to 2 minutes)
low temperature (96.6 as of now)
stomach aches
hoarse voice
sore throat
Poor balance
Lost of thirst
weight loss
Any info, no matter how small, would be appreciated. Thanks!
