Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Grey discoloration of skin is seen in heart and lung conditions such as heart attack, tuberculosis, emphysema, aspiration pneumonia, COPD such as asthma or due to malabsorption syndrome such as Whipple’s disease. Since the grey discoloration in your case is localized and it comes and goes, it can be fungal infection, cutaneous leishmaniasis or even skin tuberculosis. Please consult a dermatologist when next the lesion appears. You will need some tests for diagnosis.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
I dont know how I could call a dermatologist because it lasts only 2 min. at the most. I dont think it is anything mentioned because I have no skin lesions at all. My skin is all normal, not even a scratch. I dont have diarhea and recently when my heart went fast I went to the er and they did a ton of lab work and other than a 17 on my lymph, which normal is 25 -45, all my blood work was good.
Grey skin can also be caused by silver supplements. These are sold as anti-bacterials by many health food stores. They do kill bacteria, but they also turn skin grey.
Thankyou caregiver. I am not on any meds or creams or anything other than fish oil.
