Spiked drink or just a mean hangover

My girl friend went out with some friends last night and she had more than a few from the smell of her breath, but she was acting out of normal for her normal behavious when she drinks, then today she is still vomitting, very pale and dehydrated (shes been drinking gatorade and water all day) and has been shaking periodically. She remembers most everything she had to drink but has a blacked out period that she doesnt remember anything, and her freinds she was with werent much help because they were all drinking too. Their DD didnt have much help either as she was keeping track of all of them, my question is could her drink have been spiked with some kind of pharmecutical? when i left for work this morning at around 530 she was still kind of out of it, and its now 8 PM and she is still not over it. At first i thought it was just a mean hang over, but i have never heard of one lasting this long, or could it even be a hangover because she had drank more than she remembers?

Hi, how often do you drink, if not that much, you probably just drank too much, and mixing drinks can make you feel ****** the next day were you are shaky, maybe dry heaving, alcohol will make you dehydrated, and make you feel really week, so just drink plenty of water, or a bloody Mary, lol but i hope she feels better.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The only way to be sure is get a blood test. If it shows more than normal or very high alcohol levels, then this could be the cause. Otherwise, watch for another day. Keep her well hydrated. If she does not improve, consult a doctor. Take care!

I couldant tell you if it were spiked to be honest, but.... there could be a possibility of the mixing of the drinks that can cause those side effects. It is possible to not remember anything after many drinks. the dehydration is normal in people that drink to much because of the vomiting the shaking can be caused by her vomitting offten and not enough sugar in the system. she needs to get something down or she will need to go to the hospital for iv in she cant keep it down. i was reading some post online about spiked drinks and alot of the side effects are the same as just being very drunk so it may be hard to tell. im sorry its not much help but i do work in an urgent care and suggest that she trys to keep something down. chips, nuts bread is good for her too it soaks up alchol and calms the vomiting. let me know how she turns out hope she is ok.
