Swlloen eyelid answer asap please!

Hi all,

I will be ringing doctors today as soon as they open but I would really like an answer asap!
Last night my eye started hurting. At first I thought something was in it then figured it might be a sty because I had one a couple of months ago and it kind of felt like that.
This morning Ive woken up and my eyelid has really swollen to the point where my eyes half closed. The pain is still there aswell. I looked in the mirror and on the coloured part of my eye right at the top of it theres a white spot. I thought it was sleep so tried getting it out with a bit of tissue but it didnt move. Could this be what has made my eyelid swell and does anyone know whats going on?!

Thank you.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
In all probability it is a stye or hair follicle infection. Usually it is treated with warm compress and local antibiotic drops. It can also be the start of conjunctivitis. Please show this to your doctor. Take care!

hi there, its sounds like a stye in all honesty as some of them get massive and swell the whole eye and some barely show up, they vary from sizes so it seems to me like just a big stye. hope this helps :D
