Throat Problems

Every since I was little i've had problems with my throat and swalloing. When I was around 8 my peditrician told me it was my tonsils and gave me 2 bottles of antibotics. I had to take the antibotics for about 7 days and then my symptoms went away. For about 5 to 6 years I could swallow like a normal person. However, the symptoms have returned and I don't think it's my tonsils. Everytime I eat something I feel like i'm about to choke. Even if it's amashed potatoes it's like it get's stuck in my throat and takes awhile to go down. Please help me cause it's got so bad I had to stop eating meat and other hard foods. What do you think is wrong with me and what should I do?

I'm actually on this site right now trying to find information on this very topic. I don't know about you but my swallowing difficulty is not accompanied by any other symptom. No soreness, redness, mucas, nothing else, just sort of like when you have the flu and don't want to eat but you know you have to and you have to forse yourself to swallow and on the verge of choking all the time. It's almost like my body forgot how to swallow. weird. I haven't given up on meat yet I just make sure there is always someone home when I eat.

Well, I'm just talking completely out my hat.  I don't know anything about swallowing issues.  However, I was looking up some stuff on my problem (excessive plegm in the throat and lungs), and I did stumble across something about painful and difficult swallowing.  It was a mold infection thing.  Apparently, there's some kind of mold that can coat the inside of the esophogus constricting access.  It had all sorts of other symptoms associated with it, nasty ones.  Hopefully, that is not your problem, cuz it sounds insidious.  Other than that, I have no clue.  Good luck with it.  I hope someone else has better ideas than I do.
