Tingling, Pelvic/Abdominal Pain, Chest burning, all over aching/stinging

20 year old female. 2 months ago, I began experiencing sudden tingling all throughout my body. It was incredibly intense, as though ants were crawling all over me--that skin crawling sensation. I couldn't even sleep it was so strong. Gradually, the intensity decreased, but it still hasn't gone away, and I've developed new, equally random-seeming symptoms. I have an intermittent, but always painful to the touch, sharp pain on my lower right abdomen/pelvis. It sometimes feels crampy, and at one point felt like burning. I also feel as though my chest/ribcage area is burning/inflamed and everything seems to just ache all over, sting, or tingle, particulary at this point my back near the ribcage, legs, and feet. I've had a pelvic ultrasound, stomach x-ray, and stomach CT with contrast, as well as blood work, and all is normal. I'm very frustrated and honestly, scared. Can you help me?

Thank you. I've read about these things, but fibromyalgia aside, I don't feel they fit me---I've heard there is a lot of controversy with Morgellons and would feel rather self conscious talking w/ a doctor about that, but thank you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Unexplained pains, sometimes the bones paining and sometimes the muscles can be due to a problem called ‘fibromyalgia’. This is associated with fatigue and a heightened and painful response to gentle touch (allodynia). Other symptoms include  needle-like tingling of the skin, nerve pain, muscle aches and spasms, weakness in the limbs, functional bowel disturbances, and chronic sleep disturbances. Although fibromyalgia usually presents with chronic widespread pain, pain may also be localized in areas such as the shoulders, neck, low back, hips, or other areas.
The cause of fibromyalgia is often hereditary or due to a physical or emotional trauma or due to lingering infection in the body such as due to mono. The treatment is a mix and match of analgesics, anti depressants, anti seizure medications, physical therapy and counseling.
Very dry skin and disorders of thyroid gland all can precipitate a crawling sensation.
The other possibility is Morgellons disease often mimics scabies. The disease is  believed to be caused by weak immune systems in people that have contracted the tick-borne Lyme Disease at some point in their life. It can also be a fungal infection like Tinea corporis.
I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
