Yes, it sounds like a fungal infection, does it have a white apprearance when you look in the mirror?. I've had this issue many times and it turned out to be a fungal infection. consult your doctor she or he will prescribe a fungal medication to take orally, probably Diflucan, good luck and let me know how things go! take care. It is not uncommon to suffer an oral 'Thrush' post surgery. It can be caused by the intubation process and drying out by anasthetics leaves the mouth vounerable. An oral anti-fungal as suggested will sort this but make sure you get it checked out if this does not work.
