Two symptoms that I suspect are connected somehow

Both of these symptoms started happening at just around the same time, when I was 15.

The first symptom is an itching related one. When it first started happening, I started getting incredibly itchy on my fingers/hands, feet, legs, and head. It was unbearable and so I went to the doctor to be diagnosed with "The Fifth Disease". I was told I should just take antihistamine pills and it would stop. The itching did stop, but a few days later, it came back. And that is how it's been for the past 5 years. If I stop taking the antihistamine pill for about 3-4 days, the itching will resume. It's not really that big of a problem, but the reason I am even mentioning it is because I think it might be somehow related to my other problem, which is hair loss.

I never went to the doctor for my hair loss, I will soon however. In the meantime even though I know it's not generally a good thing to do, I self-diagnosed my hair loss as "Chronic Telogen Effluvium". My hair has been falling out faster than normal for 5 years. My room is covered in hairs and I have to vacuum it every month. If I attempt to pull hairs out of my head, gently of course, I will get about 3 hairs on average.

I have a rather poor diet but I am going to try and take multi-vitamins and other supplements for a few months and see if that might fix it. Can anyone think of any reasoning behind this? I'll keep myself up to date on this thread and answer whatever questions you need.

The itching is most likely related to an allergy. It's difficult to figure out to what without professional help. You really should eat healthy in general...try to stay away from processed food. I get super itchy sometimes and think it's a histamine intolerance. Google it and leave out the food and see it it helps. I take a benadryl if it get's bad.
hope that was helpful

The Fifth Disease diagnose was clearly wrong by the way.
