Finger is itching, red and slightly swollen

The symptoms are in the title. I did a brief google search and found pictures and my finger looks a bit like "Herpetic whitlow", however, I don't think I have that as I've never kissed, had sex or oral with anyone. Btw, I'm 22 years old.

Any possible thoughts on what I might be? I would really like to know.

Is it by your nail bed?  Maybe a paronychia.  Bacterial or fungal infection??
You could try checking out the dermatology community forum they may have other suggestions or advice.

Any possibility this could be so simple as some sort of spider or insect bite?

Always wear cotton glooves and get CAMPHOR from grocery or any medical shop mix about 10 gm in olive oil and apply thrice a day espically before going to bed.always use neutral soap like PEARS for hend washing.also avoide to expose your hands in clear sunlight.
