Excellent advice doctornee, as usual. A very common cause of twitching is B-12 deficiency, resolved by inexpensive sublingual B-12 with folic acid. I would also try a vitamin D3 supplement. If these deficiencies are the cause the twitching should resolve within 72 hours.
Hi
Welcome to the forum!
I would suggest you get the blood levels of the following checked if they have not already been checked: potassium, calcium, sodium, vitamin B complex, or vitamins B1, B3, or B6 and Vitamin D. Generally deficiencies of any of the above can cause muscle twitching and spasms in localized or generalized areas of the body. Get your kidney function, parathyroid gland function and adrenal function tests done because these affect the electrolyte balance in the body. Stress, alcohol, caffeine and fatigue all cause similar symptoms. Under eye twitch can also be due to refractive errors. Please get an eye checkup done too.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
I get that when I'm dehydrated, didn't get enough sleep or had too much caffeine, or a combination of all three! Does any of this sound like it could be you? I hope you get some relief soon!
