Unexplained Digestive Problems

I have been suffering for months maybe even over the last year with severe diarrhea every single day. Each morning I wake up feeling sick, like I'm very hungry but so queezy that I cannot eat anything. This has caused me so much pain and discomfort that I have seen doctors and had my blood drawn to test for a stomach infection which came back negative. I then saw my fathers GI Doctor he sees for his Crohns Disease She drew my blood again and tested for thyroid issues, celiacs disease, and Crohns disease. All came back negative. On that same visit I had a stool sample taken to test for Giardia a stomache issue caused by drinking contaminated water. This also came back showing nothing of value. The last thing my fathers doctor suggested was to take a Lactose Intolerane test which I have scheduled for this thursday morning. If this test also proves to show me nothing about what is wrong with me I am about to lose hope :( This constant diarrhea is usually yellow and peicey and happens all the time. In the morning when I am getting ready for work I wil usually stop to use the bathroom three of four times because I cannot finish the first time. The bowel movement most of the time stops the stomach ache but sometimes it doesn't and until i chug a water or get something into my stomach i will feel crappy. I am very tired all the time even after getting lots of sleep. I am always sick as soon as someone I know is sick I brace myself because most of the time I will get sick too. And everytime I work out I feel sick to my stomach afterwards. Please help me!

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
If celiac, Crohn’s and other problems have been ruled out then lactose intolerance and IBS are the possibilities. Gas in stomach, burping, diarrhea all go in favor of IBS. Pancreatic enzyme disorders, liver dysfunction, HIV, cancer of the gut, and infections by parasites other than giardia can all cause persisting diarrhea. Please discuss this with your doctor (your father’s GI doctor).
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

I too have been kind of struggling with this. Do you have anxiety? Anxiety can cause these issues and an imbalance in the stomach... as the stomach also creates serotonin.

Do some foods go right through you faster than others? Or does it just depend on the day? Does milk bother you?

Do you ever get any lower flank pain? Like pain in the left or right lower side of your abdomen?

My Dr. said I have a minor spell of IBS.... but I hope thats all it is.

Good luck with you. Hang in there.
