Very flushed, hot face

Just wanting to find out what could cause my face to turn almost maroon in color and put out a lot of heat.  This used to only happen on a rare occasion after having a glass of wine.  Now it comes and goes and after each "episode" I have no energy left in me.  I have been experiencing pain in my upper right stomach, right under the ribcage.  It also has hit me right after getting out of the shower, in which it looks like I just spent a few hours at the gym, due to the sweating.  Any suggestions?

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
If you are a lady in menopausal age group, then it could be due to hormone imbalance. You would need to consult your gynecologist regarding this.
Alcohol, certain drugs, allergy to food additives, heat intolerance, hot beverages and food, anxiety, orthostatic hypotension, certain endocrine disorders like those involving the adrenals, diabetes etc all cause facial flushing.
Hope this helps. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
