Was this a panic attack?

Yesterday, I was walking with a friend after we had been trying to escort another friend home after he injured his ankle. The situation was very stressfull because we were trying to calm my frind down as he was in a lot of pain. After we finally got him safely home, me and my other friend began walking home ourselves. Suddenly i felt a weird tingling sort of feeling on the left side of my head, followed by pressure and numbness in the left side of my head, and in the left side of my body which included my left arm and some of my left leg also. I was also suffering from slight headache in the right side of my head at this time. I then felt a sort of "rush" of adrenaline and my heart began to race and breathing increased as i began to panic. Within about 5 - 10 minutes, the symptoms went away. I have been suffering these symptoms now for months (before christmas) and my neurologist has diagnosed me with anxiety attacks.

Was this an anxiety attack?

If it helps, I also sometimes suffer these symptoms:

Numbness in the entire head
numbness in one side of head  and/or  face (can vary between which side is affected)
always feel as if i am unbalanced
dizziness
trembling when i have one of these "episodes"
ALWAYS thinking about and fearing death (assuming im going to die)
Constant numbness accross my chest, but mostly to the left side
small sharp pains throughout my head on random intervals (some days none at all)

The symptoms seem to go away faster when I am outside in our garden, or having fun with friends, or even when im playing video games. It ONLY seems to be when i focus on them that i suffer from them the most.

I am 16 years old, 5ft-3inches, 119 pounds, Male

This sounds like an anxiety attack, my sister has them and sometimes her whole face goes numb. she just relaxes and it goes away. maybe you should try things to relieve stress; that's what the doctor told my sister. Anyway hope everything goes well

i think you might be right, and i believe it was indeed a panic rush. I have had an anxiety attack much like yours. The only thing is when you have a panic attack, you think youre about to die. anxiety attacks are much more neurological and they affect your brain in a different way. but either way, listen to idontknow99.

Definitely signs of classic anxiety. Feels like needles/numbing feeling? When you are outside in the garden you are distracted, so your mind isn't really fixated on something potentially fight or flight for no reason. I would suggest going to a general physician and discussing the symptoms and he'll most likely put you on an antidepressant or antianxiety medication to temporarily treat it while getting cognitive therapy to help manage those normally. But id say do that only if the problem persists...
