What could cause constant muscle twitches?

I have been having frequent muscle twitches over the past year or so. I am 23. I have gotten them probably all over my body. My nose, cheek, arms, stomach, legs, etc. Usually just for a short time but sometimes I'll get ones that stay in the same spot. For instance, my lower left eyelid has been twitching on amd off for about 8 hours now. So annoying. Sometimes the twitches are very fast or it'll just feel like my skin tightens and then releases, and sometimes it comes in a "heartbeat" type motion. My mother told me hers started at around my age too, and it's quite bad now. I've read up on things like ALS but there is no history of it in my family. My dad's cousin has Parkinsons but that's about it. Can you help?
