What is nausea and feeling full indicative of?

Symptoms:
Constant nausea; sometimes feel like I'm about to vomit and have to leave a meeting (never happens)
feel full all the time
attracted to food; love tastes; can't eat much without feeling bloated
mid 40's, 5'2", 110 lbs, not bulimic or anorexic; post menopausal; no drugs
balanced, active, social, stable job, partner, social circle
teenage son a constant source of stress; am a breath away from turning him out
(intelligent, love him dearly, but he wants to behave like he's an abusive husband)
no bleeding or blood in stools
possibly an ulcer
have not seen an endocrinologist

Any ideas on cause.  Stress is an obvious response.  Looking for more than that.
Thanks,
Frustrated and worried

Thanks for the quick response.

I suspected an ulcer of some kind.  Gaviscon has not helped.  Gravol puts me to sleep.  Alcohol has not made a difference.  I will try a double pillow; not eating or drinking dairy for at least 2 hours before sleeping; and will sleep on my left side.

Have an appointment to see the doc in 10 days.  Will hopefully get an upper GI  endoscopy and ultrasound upper abdomen and perhaps a barium swallow.

Will keep you advised.

Hello,

Your symptoms are suggestive of dyspepsia(includes GERD and peptic ulcers) or gall bladder disease.

An upper GI(gastrointestinal) endoscopy and ultrasound upper abdomen can confirm the diagnosis.
Eat small nutritious meals at frequent intervals instead of a heavy single meal. Exercise frequently and take your dinner atleast 2 hrs prior to bedtime. Also raise the head end of the bed by 2 blocks. To help control the stomach acid, one should not drink alcohol or drinks with caffeine in them, or eat chocolate or spicy or greasy foods .

Take some OTC antacid like Mylanta. You can also take zantac(ranitidine)or prilosec(omeprazole). These will help.If the symptoms persist then a gastroenterologist’s opinion will be the best.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or of you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
