What is wrong with me?

Lately everyone in my house has been sick, we have 2 kids and another on the way. 1 of them goes to school and came home the week before this past thursday with a bad cough. His cough went away after about 5 - 6 days. Then everyone in the house seemed to get it.

I started mine with a wierd type of migraine, severe congestion to the point it wouldn't stop every 2 mins blowing nose. The headache and the chills seemed to go away yesterday and i started to feel somewhat better. Then later that night the cough came back and the symptoms changed a bit and seem alot worse.

Right now i cough up mucus usually white, sometimes yellow mixed with it. My chest has a tightness to it and it feels sometimes a bit uncomfortable in my chest. I am wheezing, i am a smoker but i have been trying to cut back since i got sick. My chest however hurts really bad when i cough, but i think this is due to coughing as much as i have.

Everyone else in the house is feeling better and still has a slight cough but i seem to be keeping sick. Any suggestions or anyone have a idea what this can possibly be? Or when i should exactly goto the hospital as i see if it is bronchitis they pretty much tell u to go home and deal with it and don't do really anything about it.

The problem is that most of these things are caused by viruses and viruses don't respond to antibiotics.  However, a bronchitis can turn into a bacterial infection because you are not moving the mucus in your lungs out.  So I would make a list of your symptoms during the next few days.  If the fever comes back then I would definitely see the doctor because then this could mean the infection is bacterial.
