I agree with the first two posts. This sounds like a psychosomatic condition, one that fosters physical symptoms from repressed or unrepressed feelings and emotions. Possibly seeing people that remind you of how you used to look brings up all the negative emotions you felt during that time. Or possibly you tried purging to lose some of the weight, and seeing overweight people now unconsciously reminds your body of purging. It sounds like you have not fully accepted your new and improved body, in your mind you still feel as if you are 220 lbs. If this is true, I would advise taking BLeu1465's advice when she said "Feel good about yourself, when you see people like that then you can say to yourself that you will never gain weight again, you will find it helpful. " Once your feelings are first RECOGNIZED then ACCEPTED then dealt with, the psychosomatic connection will lessen. Im very proud of you for losing the weight! I just wish your mind knew that you lost the weight! Good luck I wish you all the best!
It is normal for you to feel that way as you are losing weight yourself, and I see that maybe you are trying to hard, dont over do it, ok? It is normal because you are nervous about gaining weight again. You see others , and you dont want to gain again. Its like anxiety. Talk with your doctor so that they can help you with your nerves. You did a great job losing that weight and I am very proud of you. Feel good about yourself, when you see people like that then you can say to yourself that you will never gain weight again, you will find it helpful. Complete normal feelings you are having. You are the one thats important, remember that! If it continues , the go to your MD and talk to them. They do have meds for that. Keep up the good work
your nerves and being scared to return to that weight is your tension as far as ii can see
