iam in a real state now my mother has died today of brain tumor which nobody knew she had and she was only 51
i dont know where to turn
its such a shock i needed to tell someone
Yes I agree with Platelet girl, do have your platelets checked. I'd have a complete hepatic panel done. It isn't just one test, they eed to check a umber of thigs i your blood.. you want to check platelets, bilirubin, GGT, ALT/AST, ferritin levels, etc.they can check your AFP then too. Keep in mind you can have "normal" liver enzymes yet still have some issues going on in your liver so your doctor needs to look beyond just your liver enzymes so you can be positive your liver is fine and not causing your symptoms.Your symptoms are what made me post as they all fit for a liver issue. I was told my liver was fine, my enzymes were not high but I evetually have found out that I have severe scarring caused by viral hepatitis and I had the same symptoms as you, so please have them do some in depth sleuthing so you can rule out/find out if your liver is the cause of your multiple symptoms. Best of luck to you.
Mine was missed because I had no history that would indicate I was exposed to infetious hepatitis but in the ed that is what it was. IF your tests are all negative the you know your liver is fine and not causing your symptoms.
thanks for your comment i think the blood test i had done included liver test. but not 100% sure they just said my blood screening tests were all normal.
my doctor thinks its all stress related but im not so sure
iam only 26 and should,nt feel like this i feel as though i am on my own and no one is willing to listen (apart from this forum)
i checked my symptoms on the net and keeps coming up with different forms of leukemia
hope u and everyone else is ok
Have you had your liver checked out? Liver problems can fly under the radar and be hard to diagnose but all your symptoms could be related to your liver and can symptoms of a liver issue going on. I would have a complete liver workup done and be sure you are tested for Hep B and C. and rule out the possibility of a liver issue. It could be something else entirely but I would want to rule out any liver problem first.
You can also be screened for lymphoma at the same time, all of the tests are simple blood tests. Good luck to you.
