Pain in chest/breast

I had been having issues that are still unresolved with my neck.. but now I am noticing pain in both breasts and into my chest...  I am scheduled for a mammogram in a few weeks...  I did have a benign lump in my right breast removed over a year ago...

the pain in my chest and breasts are almost like a burning sensation.

I haven't really noticed a lump in particular, i have kind of dense breasts and I'm thinking the healing from the lump removal of last year could still be a factor.

Don't have fever or cough, but I did have Pneumonia several years ago and the doctor didn't even catch it until a month later...I knew something was wrong and he said my lungs were clear upon checking my breathing...but after a while of coughing I knew something was wrong and after an xray, they did find pneumonia...  I do feel a heaviness in my upper back and chest....

I have a mammo scheduled in a few weeks.

Hi,

Have you noticed any lump in the breast along with the pain? If not, the burning sensation could be due to a reflux of the acid of the stomach in the food pipe which usually results in a burning sensation in the centre/middle of the chest. If the pain is in the periphery and especially if it’s on the left side and is radiating in the arms, I would suggest you to get an ECG done as pain of ischemia(compromised blood supply to the heart) can also present in the form of burning sensation.

I hope you’re not suffering from any fever/cough. If the answer is yes, I’ll also suggest you to take an x-ray of the chest.

I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted.

Kind Regards.
