Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Yes, a greenish discharge from a piercing could mea infection. Remove the piercing. Clean with warm water. Apply local antiseptic followed by anti bacterial cream. You can also take an OTC anti inflammatory. If this does not help, consult a doctor. Take care!

thats definitely an infection, which is very common with mouth piercings. the mouth is a very dirty place, tongue, lip and cheek piercings almost always get infected. the only way to prevent this is during the healing period, you have to obsessively clean your mouth, brush often, wash with sea salt water, and a good piercer will recommend using a special mouthwash. i forget the name, but its biotene or something like that. i would recommend removing the piercing, but if you want to try saving them, you have to become an obsessive mouth cleaner for the next 6 weeks or so, and upgrade your jewelry. the jewelery they use costs about a dollar a piece, so its extremely cheap. the best way to go is upgrade to at least 18 karat gold. people with sensitivity or allergies have the best luck with pure metals, but particularly gold.

Hello yes they are I had the same issue with my navel. You need to pull it out and allow it to heal.   You may or may not be able to tolerate another piercing later?  You may have developed an allergy to the metal used in the piercing jewelry , which is not the best quality of metal to start with.  You may need some antibiotics as well.  I would recommend pulling it and using the sea salt swishes or medicated mouth wash until healed, if condition worsens see you doctor because the infection can get in your blood stream causing sepsis and if left untreated can lead to death.

I Hope This Helps.     Good Luck
