dizzy spells

For the past few months, out of nowhere, my nose will start to burn a little, then I get cold chills, and sick to my stomach, and dizzy.  It only last for a few minutes, but it keeps happening for no reason.  I can be asleep, and wake it it will happen.  or I will be at work and out of no where here we go again.  I just turn fifty, any advice would help.  I am going to make a doctors appt., but wanted to see if I could get some insight first. Thank you if you could help

Hello,

I feel that these symptoms are due to sinus inflammation.Sinuses are hollow spaces in our cheeks, above our eyes and forehead.Normally, they are hollow, but if they get inflamed then it can cause chilly sensation and headaches and sometimes dizziness.

Other possibilities are hypoglycemia, postural hypotension, ear infections or inner ear diseases, cervical spondolysis, vertebrobasilar artery insufficiency and TIA or stroke due to partial or complete blockage of blood supplying the brain by some blockage in the arteries.

In my opinion, pls consult a physician and get these possibilities ruled out.You can also inhale steam for some time and see if the symptoms improve or not.Steam inhalation is very good in sinus inflammation.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
