There are a variety of conditions that can increase the frequency of bowel movements.  This can include irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel syndrome, celiac disease, or an infection.

Testing the stool for infection can be considered.  More tests can include blood antibody testing for celiac disease, as well as a colonoscopy to exclude inflammatory bowel disease.

If the tests remain negative, treating irritable bowel syndrome can be considered.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.
