frustrated

I keep getting left side groin pain and dull pains under my left ribcage. I also see white stuff in my urine has gotten a little less though. No pain when going to the bathroom. I have been tested for stds and I still have no idea what is wrong with me. Does anyone know what this white stuff could be? I just had a ultrasound done of my groin and was told I had a small cyst and he seems to think my groin pains are from my back and that the two pains are not related. I have an appointment setup up for a cat scan to try and find out what is going on for the pains under my ribcage. These pains and this white stuff tell me something is wrong. Can someone please help me out with this white stuff or your thoughts on this?

I have had my urine tested for STD's and nothing Thank God. I still see these white particles in the bowl after going could it be protien? My doctor tells me my urine is normal and has given me no indication as to what it could be.  I do not ever recall seeing this before.I thought it was my kidney but I have been told that I would feel it more toward my side or back not around where my stomach is. My doctor seems to think it could be my back causing the groin pain. I mostly feel it when I am sitting or sometimes laying not much when I move around. My pains under my ribcage are dull come and go daily and are just flat out annoying. I just had a cat scan today. This has been really stressing me out for a while now.

Hi
“White or cloudy urine is most commonly due to phosphaturia (phosphate in urine), which is a benign condition in which excess amorphous phosphate crystals form in urine. Phosphaturia is usually intermittent, occurring following a meal or after ingesting a large quantity of milk. White urine is sometimes due to pyuria (white blood cells) in association with an infection of the urinary tract or rarely due to chyluria (lymph fluid), resulting from a communication between the lymphatic system and the urinary tract. High urinary phosphorus occurs in primary hyperparathyroidism, vitamin D deficiency, renal tubular acidosis, diuretic use and Fanconi’s syndrome.

Simple urine tests and correlation with the clinical symptoms should be able to clarify the problem.”

The pain in the groin area could be due to associated stones in the kidney. An ultrasound and urine examination should help in diagnosis. “Typically, a person feels a sharp, cramping pain in the back and side in the area of the kidney or in the lower abdomen. Sometimes nausea and vomiting occur. Later, pain may spread to the groin.” The pain below your left ribcage could be a continuation of kidney stone pain or could be due to acidity or enlarged spleen.

Please consult a urologist for your problems. Hope this helps. If you need more help, please feel free to contact. I’ll be happy to answer your queries. Please keep me posted.

Hi,

What you are describing is the classical description of pain of renal stone which radiates from under the rib cage (where the kidney is located) to the groin. There is a possibility of a stone in your urinary tract, which could be in the kidney, ureter or urinary bladder.
However, in this there’s no whitish discharge in urine. That could be due to an STD or a urinary tract infection. I would request you to get your urine/whitish discharge examined and consult a urologist. I am sure CT scan is also going to help in making the diagnosis.

I hope that helps. Please keep me posted and take care.

Kind Regards.

Hello,

Various possibilities are there for  these kind of symptoms. Sharp pain under the rib cage that worsens after eating points to gallbladder disease.Liver disorder may cause such kind of pain. Liver function tests as well as an abdominal ultrasound would be a reasonable approach to investigate this.

Second possibility is of underlying lung pathology which is pressing upon the diaphragm and causing pain.CT chest may be needed.Chronic pancreatitis, cardiac pathology and Functional abdominal pain syndrome (FAPS) may also cause this kind of pain.

Pelvic inflammatory disease and ovarian cysts in females can also cause such pain.Spinal problems like degenerated or herniated disc, spinal stenosis and prolapsed intervertebral disc and sciatica can also cause referred pain in the abdomen and groins.
It would be better to get CT abdomen and CT/MRI spine done which can clear cut confirm a diagnosis from the above possibilities.Pls consult a gastroenterologist and get CT abdomen done.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
