No I don't wear high heeled shoes or tight shoes either
Since it is on the side of your toe or foot, you may have the start of a bunion. Are you wearing high heels or shoes that pinch your toes (pointed toed shoes)?? I have had bunions on both feet, and this is kind of how they began. Needless to say, I do not advocate high heels OR pointed toed shoes. If your shoes are not fitting properly, they can create many painful problems.
Make an appointment and have it checked before it gets any worse.
I had that and it was ingrown toenail.Check and if it doesnt stop see dr.
You may have an infection or an ingrowing toe nail.
Ill fitting shoes can sometimes cause this type of problem.
Did you stub your toe or had anything drop on it?
Make an appointment to see your doctor so that he can identify the cause of the problem. If he feels it is an infection, he will prescribe an antibiotic cream to apply to the toe.
There are other causes of toe problems like arthritis and gout and well as problems associated with diabetes.
Although it seems like a small problem, don't neglect it and get it examined by the doctor.
Best wishes.
do you have any other symptoms?
lower back pain?
