i have two lumps behind my left ear, they are both hard and unable to be pressed down. i am worried about them one is bigger than a pea and the other is the size of a pea. the larger one is higher up. you can see the smaller one when i tilt my head whereas the larger one is unable to be seen. i have been getting a lot of headaches recently but i put it down to being stressed as i have a lot of exams coming up, i have also beeen really tired recently. could this have anything to do with it? please help!

**edit: that's "sick OR fighting off infections", not "sick of fighting off infections".
also, here's a link to a diagram of your lymph nodes from the neck up:

you don't have glands behind your ear, but you do indeed have lymph nodes(which are often mistakenly called 'lymph glands' and which are probably the type of 'gland' which you say are often swollen as that is what happens to them when we are sick of fighting off infections) behind your ear. that is most probably what you are feeling. the fact that you have been messing with them is probably the cause of the reddening and swelling as lymph nodes can be very sensitive to touch. STOP TOUCHING THEM and please go see a doctor as, though it is probably just swelling due to minor infection, it could be something more serious.
If it is a cyst, your dermatologist can shoot it with a bit of cortizone and it will go away in a few days....or you can just leave it alone and it will go away in a few weeks. You should have your dermatologist or doctor look at it, though, to determine what it is.
