My eyes have also been feeling weird and burning especially the left one and the roof of my mouth is hurting along with occasional numbness in my arms, ive also been feeling like crying every now and then i guess im getting scared its a brain tumor but i went to my doc today and all she said was its a migraine but im not having sensitivity to light or sound!!!! oh and the vein on my left temple is bulging out a bit. IM 14 , im afraid its like a tumor or nerve damage. my dad has scoliosis and if vie had that my whole life from him i guess it could cause nerve damage but idk help me im being panicky.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If you are 14 and use computer a lot or read a lot then the symptoms of headache, dizziness, neck pain, numbness etc could be due to compression of the spinal nerves in the cervical spine region. This can happen due to overuse of computers, work involving straining of neck, herniated disc, canal stenosis, bone disease, spondylosis, poor posture etc. A MRI of the cervical spine and nerve conduction studies may be required. Please consult a neurologist. Since your father has scoliosis, get this ruled out too. Physiotherapy will help you and hence you should learn neck exercises to relieve neck strain. Even though you are young, get your blood pressure checked. This can also cause headache with dizziness. TMJ is another possibility. If you have been out in sun a lot or drink less of fluids then it can also be due to electrolyte imbalance or dehydration. It can be a migraine attack too as your doctor said. But yes, all these causes should be evaluated. Talk to your parents and ask them to discuss with your doctor. Take care!

I would suggest going to a different doctor and getting a second opinion, this way you will feel better that you are going to get the answer.

Make a list of all symptoms and bring it with you when you go.  Tell them that you want testing done because you do not believe it is a migraine.  Doctors can be stubborn and you are paying them to find out whats wrong with you...so in a sense they work for you...don't let them intimidate you and make sure they understand everything you are telling them.

Good Luck!
