I get these too! It happened earlier today. You know how you sometimes inhale really fast for those surprise sneezes? It hurts so with those bad it got me in tears. With me it hurts usually on the left side, the sixth or seventh rib up. Sometimes it hurts my breast too. I have to stop what I'm doing and hold my breath whenever it happens. Or make short, quick breaths. I'm only 16 and it's been happening to me since I was 14. Nobody else in my family I know has it. And I can't convince my parents to take me to the doctors office either ._.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
I think I have answered the other post. Here you give more information. You could be having panic attacks. Get this checked out by counseling. The other possibility is severe anemia or even low blood cell count in general. Serum iron, hemoglobin and peripheral blood smear should be made. Apart from this EKG, echo and CT scan of chest should be done.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage.  Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

not eating is just silly.  that will definately land you in a hospital.  you need to excercise and strengthen your core for these muscle spasms.  pay attention to your posture (don't slump or crunch to your side.  get a bra the next size larger and don't pour yourself into your pants.  you can't put 10 pounds of sugar in a 5pound bag. i've had similar pain for years,  and it really is posture and body mechanics.
