inner elbow pain

inner elbow pain- no injury- very little use- retired- 62 yrold- active- fit- a bit over weight 5'10" 200lbs. work in office a little each week on a computer. Answear phone with a head set.
I notice the pain the most when waking up in the morning, I sleep on my stomach and sides.
I have read another post by a person that has the exact symtoms but the replies were just copied and pasted from another site. The closest dianagnosis is the golf elbow but both of us state we do not use the left arm for anything.
I just went through a 2 week period of very little activity at all due to holidays and a cold and the pain was a bit more intense this morning. ?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You probably have cbital tunnel syndrome. Nerves pinched at the elbow result in cubital tunnel syndrome. You should maintain a relaxed arm posture and take over-the-counter pain killer and anti-inflammatory such as aspirin, ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If a splint helps you to immobilize the arm motion and keep it relaxed then go for it.
Another way a pinched nerve occurs is by repetitive motion as in computer use. For this you need to use furniture best suited to relax your elbow, change the placement of your work station, use anti inflammatories as before.
Consult a neurologist. Take care!
