likely to be a strong lack of vitamins especially calcium is likely to be anemic
it shouldn't be something serious unless she is very old and all her joints became dust(but if it was that she probably wouldn't move at all) just give her some vitamins based on calcium along with some milk products and in about 2 weeks she will be just fine if that is the problem... hope she gets better
It sounds very much like fibromyalgia, except the easy bruising. Has she had a complete physical, and blood tests done? Fibromyalgia isn't diagnosed until everything else is ruled out. She should also have markers for autoimmune disorders, and maybe a SED rate.
Hope she finds an answer.
Hi Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
I understand your mother has been tested for a number of conditions. Since I have not examined your mother I can only list possibilities. You will need to discuss with your mother’s doctor. Well, joint pains with rash or bruise can be seen in SLE, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, polymayalgia rheumatica and chronic fatigue syndrome. Gout, though typically affects the great toe, can cause multiple joint pain with rash. Hashimotos Thyroiditis is another possibility. Hayfever and rheumatoid arthritis too should also be ruled out.
Apart from these conditions multiple joint pain is seen in hypothyroidism, low Vitamin D levels, Low Vit B12 levels, anemia, osteoarthritis, SLE, electrolyte disturbance particularly those involving calcium and magnesium, parathyroid gland problems, chondrocalcinosis and chronic fatigue syndrome. Menopause is often associated with Vit D and calcium disturbances and hormonal disturbances causing multiple joint pain. Please talk to your doctor regarding these and get your mother examined accordingly.
It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind. Thanks for keeping me posted!
Hope this helps. Take care!
