Hiya i went to the doctors im not happy at all and dont know wether to go for 2nd opinion, he's kind of dismissed my leg problems and put my anti depressant dosage up im on amitriptyline 20mg and mirtazapine 45mg nightly.

Im not to sure wether it's connected but i have numb fingers and fat fingers when i wake up, it takes a few minutes for them to go back to normal

Im not on birth control pills, he's also sending me for blood test for menopause, i wouldnt say i'm an old 41, im very active go to the gym 5 days a wk so why would he send me for these tests

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
A heat sensation or sudden feeling of warmth can be a sign of blood clot or deep vein thrombosis. It can also be due to pinched nerve or due to diabetic neuropathy. If you are a female and on birth control pills, then this could be due to the side effect of pills as they can also cause deep vein thrombosis. For diagnosis first a duplex ultrasound or color dopplar would need to be done. If this is negative then a nerve conduction study and test for diabetes. If there is a chance then if everything else is negative, then lupus may need to be tested for.
Since you also have a sensation of leaking chances of a nerve pathology are more.
Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Hope this helps. Take care!
