lower back pain

i have 3 bulging discs in my lower back since last summer (basketball injury).  Now when i sit some where for more than10 mins or so and go to get up something pops in my lower back. It feels as thought my dics are moving back in place or popping. I have no idea what is going on and would really appreaciate to hear any type of feedback concerning this

I have so many issues that have developed over time with my back that it is now referred to as Degenerative Spine Disease. It is not really a disease, it's just that all the various issues are now creating other issues in my spine. It's like a Domino effect. I was told that I should stick with non invasive therapy as long as I could since there is no one operation that will fix all the problematic areas. So I've used pain medication for the whole mess and have waited for many years as the surgery approaches have gotten better and better. Many, many times I can feel, if not hear, my bones grating upon each-other when my Spine is heavily compressed. One thing I've learned the hard way is to stay away from the pain medications on a routine basis that are offered to chronic pain patients. They do more damage to the whole body than one can ever imagine. I went through he-- getting off the opiates I'd been taking for years and discovered that they actually increased my pain levels by 70% just by using them. I'm not the first to discover this either. i
Good Luck.

Hey- the same thing happened to me. If you have bulges/tears in your discs, you can go to a pain management specialist and they will give you an injection (after seeing an MRI) that will hopefully relieve swelling and start to repair the bulges. Until then, take it easy!!!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Please consult a neurologist immediately. A MRI of the spine will be definitely required and nerve conduction studies may also be needed. The treatment is to remove the compression. You have to discuss the best treatment option with a neurologist, which can range from medication to physiotherapy to traction, lumbar belts, lumbar corsets or even surgery. Take care!

Sorry, but your discs are worse.
You will need to see a Specialist and it will require a change in some of what you are doing, your activities, and maybe diet. Plus, one should have another MRI.(very important) I do not know how bad they were and the treatment, but they do not get better without treatment and even then they are still not 100%. It is not what anyone would want to hear, but it is important to take care of it sooner than later.
