I have been seeing doctors since sept of 2005. I have been diagnosis with colds, flu, amnonia, and allergies. needless to say i've not gotten better. so starting about 3 months ago i start getting blood work done. my doctor says the numbers from the blood work was high. she sent me to a hemotologist. now they say that to wait and see what happens in a month or so. in the last six weeks they are not giving me medicine or anything. but this is the numbers from my test wbc 16.9 rbc4.28 hgb 13.6 hct 40.2 mcv 94.0 mch 31.9 mchc 33.9 rdw 11.8 plt 345 neutrophilis 66.3 lymp 22.0 mono 5.2 eos 5.9 baso .6 abs neut ct 9.1. i am so tried most of the time and my bones hurt really bad sometimes. i get short of breathe and feel like i am going to pass out. if i throw up i break out in a rash. i guess i wouldn't be as worried if i understood what this tests meant. i just stay sick alot and don't understand why.. could you tell me what this numbers mean????
thank you lost and tried
I don't see any results for your liver functions. Ask the doctor what your results were for your liver function tests. I can't tell by the info you posted what he is testing for, did you ask? Which ones are they watching? Did he check your thyroid? Get copies of the blood work results so you can see for yourself what categories your readings are out of the "normal" range. The test results will say "within normal" and give numbers to represent wht "normal" is.
I agree with kalio - it helps to have copies of your tests - so you can see it with your own eyes - they can tell you alot, although I must admit, I have been posting lately to find help with test results as well. But you have the right to have copies of all results. I had to sign a release form (not sure why, since they were being released to me - the patient!)
I wish I could give you some answers. I hope that soon you will know what is going on. The waiting is the hardest part. Good luck to you!
i have one of the copies of a blood test. the high numbers are wbc 16. mch 31.9 eos 5.9 abs neut ct 9.1. the doctor says she is just looking. i have no idea what for, all i know know is that this isn't getting better. i have started noticing broken veins in my legs. i have never had this problem before.
i spoke with the doctor and now they want to run the test every 2 weeks to see the change. i had the test and all i know is that the wbc was at 18.2 this time. the doctor wasn't in i was suspose to come in for labs and they said that they would call me when she looked at them. i am just really tried. i know if the rbc keeps dropping then i will have amenia. but other than that i have no clue. i guess the scary part is when you look up high white blood cells cells you come to leukemina. i just want to know so i can get better. thanks for trying to help...
Hey, I truly know how you feel....I am so tired myself. It's going on close to a year that I have been on my "journey to feeling better" - still don't know much except that I have two nodules on my thyroid and my meds need to be tweaked for hypo - have lots of other tests coming up within the next month. I hope that you find some answers soon. Take care!
My thyriod came back normal, when i first went to the doctor I thought it was suger problems. I understand mostly why the doctor don't tell me what they are looking for, ( to help people from panic). But I also see that not know is just as bad. I get sick so easy and I'm getting sick again. I always have faith in the medical field. I have never saw doctors that wasn't qualified. I know that this is a waiting game, but I am not that kind of person. I want to live and be able to do things with my kids and grandkids. Instead of feeling like this and being afraid that the grandkids will give me a virus and make me sick again. If one of them have a running nose or a fever, I shy off. The two knots you have in thyoid what is that?? Well I hope you feel better and get this taken care of.
Best Wishes Lost and Tried.
Hey, they are not sure at this point - I have to go for nuclear thyroid scan on the 21 of July....so I am playing the waiting game again.......I can only hope that one day I will feel good again - I am a 38 yr old single mom with an active 12 yr old - and its ball season right now - it takes all my energy to go to games and drive so much. Anyway, I have faith - and that is helping me to cope at this point.
I hope all goes well with you....I know it's hard staying away from your grandkids - My immune system stinks too and I get every little thing that comes along. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care of yourself!
