Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Common cold, sinusitis, ear infection, sensory nerve compression, peripheral neuropathy as in diabetes, inflamed wisdom tooth, impacted wisdom tooth, dental caries, etc can all cause facial numbness and pain. They can also cause ear numbness that spreads to face.
So yes, consulting a neurologist would be a good step. Take care!
Thanks for your reply. He hasn't been to a neurologist yet. That is definetly the next step. He has been to 3 drs. 1 said nothing can be done. The other said to wait and see if it goes away and the last one gave him some meds and see how that goes and if not he goes to neurologist. He got hit 2 years ago so he has been to dr. right after and they said wait and see so... WE are going to go ahead and make an appt. for neurologist. Thanks again.
have you taken him to see nuerologist? My brother fell out of the trailer when he was four years old and it killed 1/4 of his brain. you might want to check it out in case you haven't already. It could almost be severe trauma to the head...hopefully you find a cure.
