Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
One way to avoid constipation is increase fiber and fluid intake. Too much of fiber with too little fluid makes a bulky stool dry, less lubricated and difficult to pass. Hence with increased fiber, it is important to take increased fluids. Water intake can be increased through hidden means that are not obvious—like: Take fruits like melons which are high on fluid content. Drinking sips of warm water, lemonade, soups etc also helps. Make curry in lot of broth etc. Walking around for 15-20 minutes everyday helps clear the bowel more easily. Hemorrhoids can at times make it difficult to pass stool by narrowing the anal opening. Apart from this there are creams in the market which you can apply locally to treat hemorrhoids. Sitting in a tub of warm water twice a day for 15 mins each also helps.
Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
So they can keep you from passing stool? I tried hemmie suppositories and it stopped bleeding. Burnt like crazy though. When I used it frist time i was able to get a little out. Second time, i couldnt. I tried and clear fluid came out ( dissolved suppos. probably? ) no blood. I inserted finger in anus after disinfecting it with antibacterial soap etc and i pulled out, there were secretions of stool definitley there, but didnt come out.
When sitting down the outer sphincter is flat but when trying to have bowl movement it becomes extended outwards. Will prep. H keep this from happening?
I just want to have a bowel movement. I am tired of drs. I went to the Free Clinic today andf they told me they dont know what it was because my CT and Blood tests come back clean. So I am putting it to hemmies. The dr. at the clinic gave me Cipro for a possible infection , i am guessing it will help if there is a colon infection (bowel infection?)
I just got back from the E.R. again except i traveled 60 miles for this one. it is a better facility, and better care.
Dr. Lipscher told me it was or could be due to prostatitis. I read up on it and it sounds like he is right. he prescribed me lortab, polyetheline glycol and cipro.
I also read this could cause constipation and lack of bowel movements. So hopefully this will help!
