Hi Vicki,
I am sorry to hear about your numb and painful hand.
Have you considered that this could be Carpel Tunnel Syndrome? Your symptoms sound very similar to the ones I experienced when I had Carpel Tunnel.
I had some nerve conductivity tests that confirmed the diagnosis. Your PCP can order these for you to determine if that is a possibility.
Sometimes tendonitis can cause these symptoms also. Please have a good clinical evaluation. Left untreated CT can cause permanent nerve damage.
