I have an extremely sharp pain on the right side of my chest when getting out of bed. It starts to hurt when I lay on my sides. When I try to roll over, the pain shoots through my right side. And when I try to get up and out of bed, I can only move an inch or two at a time getting up. Once I get on my feet, it goes away after a minute or so. The pain is so bad it feels like being electrocuted. I have to stop after each pain, and then continue, every inch until I finally make it to a standing position. Then I can go all day with no pain whatsoever as long as I don't lay back down. What could possibly be causing this.
I also have degenerative disc desease and some spinal stenosis in my spine. Why does it only happen when turning over in bed or trying to get up? After that I am fine.
