some body help mee!

i doubt any one will be able to tell me whats going on, but theres something on my face that im very self concious of :( its on my nose, right in the middle in an obvious place and its getting me down. i dont wear alot of makeup unless i go out somewhere, and im finding myself slapping on concealer even on days where im not going out, or just to see friends or my boyfriend. its getting me down.

i think its a broken vein- its deep red and a blob, and theres little lines coming off it if you look very closely.

what is it, and what can i do to get it sorted?

an old friend of mine has the same thing. its a red dot on the very tip of her nose, kinda like a pimple but not, more like a blood filled dot. I'm sorry to say shes had it for years. i recently saw her, mind you its been over 10 years, and i was shocked to see that she still has it. i assume its harmless and theres no harm in it being there

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Without examination it is difficult to comment. It could be a hemangioma or a spider vein. It could also be a rash of SLE. Consult your PCP first to reach a diagnosis. Further referral will depend on what it is. Hemangioma and spider veins can be treated by a vascular surgeon. SLE is treated by an internal medicine specialist.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
