swollen lymph nodes-coming & going

Hi, I've posted here before, not too long ago. I've had multiple symptoms, & I'm wondering why I've had swollen lymph nodes, on my neck & underarm, more so on the left side. I noticed the one on my armpit when I was putting deoderant on the other day. It felt very tender, & now it dosen't. Just like the one on the backside of my neck. Sometimes it feels tender, sometimes not, although I do get a throbbing type pain in that area. I've been in the process of having some tests done. I 've had 2 CBC's done recently, & everything's o.k., except my WBC count has been elevated. I was checked for thyroid & sugar, both o.k. Some of the other symptoms I've been having: sore low back, almost constant, but I can function. My legs feel weak alot, pains in the rib area, tight chested feeling at times, I feel a generalized numb/weak feeling throughout my body at times, sore/red throat, productive cough, but not constant. I did find out recently that I have HBP, but not terrible. I was put on Keflex for 10 days,(for a possible bacterial infection), & I took all the medicine. I go back to the Dr. in early March for a follow-up. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on with me? I'm a 38 year old female & have never had any major health problems. I do have Vitiligo, lack of pigment, on a small scale, & I've read that there is sometimes an underlying autoimmune disorder with this. Any replies are appreciated! Thanks!

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
The swollen tender lymph nodes could be due to glandular fever or EBV infection. However many lymphomas and STDs too cause these wide array of symptoms along with swollen lymph nodes. Breast cancer is another possibility especially if you have a family history.
On a lighter side many infections like pharyngitis, poor oral hygiene or abscess or any other infection in the body can cause these symptoms.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
