please help

Please help, my girlfriend got sick approx 4 weeks ago, initially we thought it was due to regular circumstances beyond her control, but after, her symptoms persisted; they consist of persistent nausea and headaches (they haven't let up in the 4 weeks) dizziness and small, 1 second blackouts. She went to the doctor and got a range of blood samples taken, it was thought that she may be suffering from glandular fever, all the results came back clean.

Someone please tell me what mite be wrong with her :(

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Headache, nausea, dizziness and blackouts: There is a chance that your girlfriend has compression of the spinal nerves in the cervical spine region. This can happen due to overuse of computers, work involving straining of neck, herniated disc, canal stenosis, bone disease, spondylosis, poor posture etc. A MRI of the cervical spine and nerve conduction studies may be required. Please consult a neurologist. The treatment is to remove the compression. You have to discuss the best treatment option with a neurologist, which can range from medication to physiotherapy to traction, cervical collars or even surgery. Alternatively you can visit a chiropractor or a physical therapist and learn some exercises which you can do to relieve the compression.
Postural hypotension, ear infection and benign intracranial hypertension are the other things that should be investigated. Do discuss this with your girlfriend’s doctor.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!

Could she be pregnant?  Is she taking birth control pills, as these I've heard can cause easy fainting & they can also cause nausea and headaches.  You might ask for a brain scan if these headaches are of a nature that she hasn't experienced in the past, especially considering the dizziness and blackouts.  Has anyone taken orthostatic blood pressures and pulses on her to see if she might be suffering from orthostatic intolerance?
