20 years old and intense chest pains for the past few months

I have been putting off going to the doctor for some time now, at first I figured it was nothing but the pains I have been randomly getting have not been stopping.  It started in the winter time and come with absolutely no rhyme or reason.  They are sharp in the middle of my chest.  It tightens and hurts to breath but don't last too long.  Hurts for a little while after the pain has decreased (kind of like I was just hit with something and its just the bruise from it).  I am not a smoker, and have been very healthy my whole life.  I do have allergies to tree pollen, but that is it.. Help!!

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If the chest pains come and then abate within a short span of time then you must get a 12 lead EKG and a treadmill test immediately to rule out a heart problem. If this is ruled out then other causes of such pains could be costochondritis and acidity with GERD.
Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Do consult a doctor immediately. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
