Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Extreme fatigue could be due to hormonal imbalance as in PCOD, anemia, diabetes, hypothyroidism, or due to kidney or liver problems. Another possibility is sleep disturbances (like sleep apnea, imbalance of rapid eye and non rapid eye movement sleep etc.). You may sleep your customary 7-8 hours and yet feel fatigued. You need sleep studies to rule this out. Other possibilities are chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, low Vit b12, low iron, low calcium, sodium and potassium. Hyperthyroidism too causes increased sweating and tiredness. Postviral fatigue syndrome is another possibility. Persisting EBV infection or mono can also be the cause. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind.
Since you have sharp stabbing pain in face and numbness of arm, it can be a pinched nerve too. TMJ is another possibility. If the pain is felt in forearm too, it can be carpal tunnel or pinched nerve at elbow too. Nerve conduction studies are required for this.
Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions you may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into. Please consult your PCP to run tests and examination to clinch a diagnosis. Take care!
This could be symptoms of MS or fibromyalgia. Have you had lab done?
A.) What part of the arm do you have the numbness in?
B.) Do you do any repetitive motion with your arms or lean on your elbows?
C.) Did your doctor check your
1.blood sugar,
2.your thyroid function, and
3.your ferritin (iron stores)
to see if you have low blood sugar or diabetes, hypothyroidism or iron deficiency (which can make you tired)?
4.Did he/she check your potassium level? (Low potassium can cause muscle cramps, numbness or tingling, and tiredness.)
5.Have you ever been evaluated for sleep apnea, which can make you feel tired all day?
D.) The sharp jabbing facial pain-
1. Have you ever had your TMJ evaluated to see if there was any dysfunction there that might be causing pain in your face?
2. What about a sinus evaluation?
3. If jabbing face pain is just on one side- could the jabbing pain be a migraine?
