Can rectocele surgery be repaired if vaginal tissues are thin?

I had rectocele surgery almost 2 years ago.  From the beginning it healed unevenly which hurts my husband during intercourse.  He won't even try now.  My family Dr. said it does not look right.  Also I occasionally have bleeding and am post menopausal  The gynecologist surgen said my vaginal tissue is too thin to  repair.  Is this possible, or does he just not want to deal with the fact he probably made a mistake during surgery.

Dr's don't always tell you but anyone who has had breast cancer and sensative to estrogen can not use added estrogen.  You may not be affected with this problem but anyone reading this should be aware that there are many women who can no longer use added estrogen because of health issures.

The vaginal tissue can be thin but can be treated with vaginal estrogen.  I would suggest you get a second opinion from a Urogynecologist or gynecologist that does a lot of prolapse surgery.
