What do I do?

I recently had the divinchy method of repairing my vaginal area and a hysterectomy. This was done the end of April. Since then I have not been able to have a bowel movement on my own. It pushes into the vaginal area and will not come out. I just saw to my nurse practitioner and I am to see a general surgeon tomorrow. I know I need something done, but I am unsure of what will happen, how it is done, and what the side effects can be.

They did the suspension too. Tied everything left to mesh. I am now suppose to see a Gynecologist. I will find out then (I hope) what will be done. I live in a rural area and trying to find a doctor to look at me has been difficult. Thanks for the reply.

Sorry to read of your problem.  It sounds like you have a symptomatic rectocele.  I would suggest you see your doctor or get a second opinion from a Urogynecologist or colorectal surgeon.  Not sure by yor post if the doctor did just a hysterectomy or also did a vaginal suspension.  In any case your post suggest a rectocele although other possibilities exist depending on what was done.
