gross hematuria

Earlier this week (on vacation) I (female) began having trouble passing urine.  After drinking lots and lots of water, things began moving and I passed quite a bit of blood and several dozen small blood clots through my urine.  At the time, there was no burning, no pain... just discomfort from not completely emptying my bladder.  I began taking a 5-day course of cipro, just to be on the safe side.  After a couple of days, the urine ran clear again.  I am now back home and visited a walk-in clinic last night.  I was told to finish the cipro (finishes tomorrow), then return in 10 days for urine tests.  Today, however, my urine is pink and I am feeling some discomfort on the lower right side of my abdomen.  Does this change things, or should I still wait the 10 days?

I would suggest you see your doctor for evaluation and not wait the 10 days.  Thank you for your question
